Home Description
Description of the home
About the house: large 5 Bed, 3 bathroom house set among the trees on a steep acre with plenty of bird life and a nice view. 10 minutes walk from Belgrave township & train station. Spacious kitchen, toasty fireplace and communal areas are all fully furnished. The section is large and backs onto Belgrave Lake Park which is a great place for a stroll. No TV (intentionally) but we do have a sweet projector set up and have movie nights occasionally. Main bathroom has a bath. Separate toilet. Has an infrared sauna, outdoor shower and bath, a nice area for a good bonfire and a few garden beds. There is also a separate fully self contained granny flat on the land which is tenanted.
As a household, we like to socialise and often share meals together, whilst also respecting each other's privacy. We are a mix of vegans and omnivores but predominantly eat vegetarian and of course cater for each other when cooking communally. We keep the place tidy and take turns cleaning communal areas but are not neat freaks. We contribute to making the place a nice home to live in and try to minimize our environmental impact in simple ways like gardening, composting, reusing and recycling. Some maintenance (weed whacking, mowing etc) around the property is required which we all contribute toward by either paying to get someone to do it or doing it ourselves. We are both non-smokers.
