Description of the home
This lovely older style 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is located in Heathmont.
This humble abode is looking for a relaxed and laid back person to take the larger room (with ensuite), of Mike who has moved on to bigger things after buying his own home. The person moving into this room must be happy please with signing onto the lease which is month to month here although I am preferably looking for someone who is seeking a place to call home long term.
One of the rooms is an office space that is set up for possible shared use if needed. The large, light filled lounge room has a big comfy couch, smart T.V and views of the garden outside. There is split system heating and cooling throughout the whole house which is great for all seasons!
The greenery outside can be seen from every window and there is a covered veranda off the dining area, good for entertaining, those rainy days when you need to dry clothes or when you just wan a space to sit, relax and take in the secluded surrounding back yard and listen to the birds.
(smokers are welcome to use this space......)
There is a fully equipped kitchen (sorry no dishwasher people) and laundry with washing machine plus the space for a second fridge.
There is a remote controlled double garage for undercover off -street parking/workspace/storage as well as a driveway for uncovered off street parking if needed. The house also has a single garage for smaller storage needs.
We are in a great location with less than a 3 min walk to Heathmont train station although don't get the noise where we are thankfully. The local shops are about 5 mins walk away with everything that you'll need if on foot. There is an IGA, post office, news agency, pharmacy, organic shop, op-shop, fruit shops, awesome bakery and some great takeaway places, cafes, restaurants etc.
The house is very close to Dandenong creek, riding trails/parkland and only a short distance to Aquination (a public swimming pool/gym etc) for people who like to stay active. Loads of different local sports clubs around too.....

Bills and expenses
The bills are for electricity (being the main one), gas, water and the internet which I'm in the process of changing providers for at the moment. They are paid every month and split evenly between housemates (roughly $30 per week?).
I usually run two fridges and tend to do my own thing food wise, but it's always nice to have a cook up n' share a meal or two every now and then whenever possible :)

Elliot a 15 year old Beagle x Cavalier dog who is pretty chilled these days being an old timer now. He is an inside/ outside boy who is accustomed to sleeping on the couch occasionally so people must be comfortable with a cuddle from time to time!
Little One, a black and white domestic short hair cat, about 8 years old. She too is an inside/outside girl, (always inside at night though!) who is usually cuddled up on a chair or her bed during the colder months inside, otherwise exploring and catching some sunshine outside during the warmer months.
Both of them have extensive experience sharing their space/home with other cats and dogs so we are open to another animal joining us here :)
Unfortunately people with multiple pets......due to Elliot's age I can't have more than one dog here. Likewise with Little One, more than one cat coming in would not be ideal.
