About occupants
I'm Rachel, a dancer / dance teacher running a large school. I share with my partner Nick who is an entertainer.

We (Nick and Rachel) are a couple, both performers, running our separate businesses from home. So we are around, or in and out, during the day much of the time; while I (Rachel) am out most evenings, leaving Nick to his own devices. We would prefer to share with a woman who works a regular 9-5 weekday job and wants to bring warm energy into the house.

Our place has been going as a share house for many years and we have really efficient systems around food, cleaning, shopping and bills that a new flatmate can dovetail into as they wish. It's a happy place because we value relationships, fun and good communication.

Our household is sociable: we enjoy the odd shared dinner with friends, games nights, musical gatherings, and people staying over now and then. We are not much into alcohol or drugs; we ride bikes, do yoga and eat vegetarian. We do however consume plenty of chai and chocolate if that's any indication.

It's a wonderful place and we want you to enjoy it as much as we do. While we aren't looking for a new best friend, it's great to have some interests in common with housemates and to sometimes spend time together: whether that's getting our hands dirty in the garden, doing a spring clean, watching a movie, sharing a meal or just chatting over a cuppa. We like discussing the world, politics, history and science; as well as life! It helps if you laugh at Nick's jokes and sing along when he plays ukulele. We don't do Netflix, and try to avoid letting the TV dominate, though we enjoy a good show / movie from time to time.
Compatible people
We want someone who wants to be here and use this brilliant house to bring people to, enjoying the good things life has to offer. For us that's about relationship: food, fun, laughter, intelligent conversation, doing stuff that is healthy and stimulating. We trust people to be adult, take responsibility for themselves and be considerate of others. This has been a really happy house for years, a unique place that welcomes others and shares good times. So we want someone who gets that - and wants to be a part of it.
We prefer not to have any meat (including fish) cooked or consumed in the house, so ideally you're a vegetarian (at least at home).
