Hi! I’m Mitch. I’m 36 and work full time in sustainability and the environment with local government. Generally I work from home 2 days a week and in the office the other 3.
I have an undergrad in German Studies, European Studies and Linguistics, and a master in Environmental Management. Over the years I’ve lived in Amsterdam, Berlin, Vancouver, and Montréal and have a smattering of languages under my belt. During the weeknights I can be a bit of a homebody after work/gym/dinner with mates, but on the weekends I like to head out of the city or be social with mates at pubs and clubs. Less of a partier than I used to be, but it happens now and then.

I like being active in the outdoors and cycle, kayak, and hike (single and multi day). I like to keep up with current events, travel and garden (the shared balcony is swarming with plants).

Sometimes I like my space and quiet, other times I can be much more social. Fairly open minded and straightforward with communication. I’m not much of a cook, but if you are, awesome! Usually do the own food thing, happy to share a meal now and then.
Compatible people
I’m pretty flexible (happy to discuss short and long term arrangements); but someone who is easy going, tidy and at a similar place in life as myself would be great. I’d like a flatmate who’s happy to have a hang and a chat on the couch over a beer and re-runs of Schitt’s Creek now and then, but isn’t a complete home body. The apartment is a cosy one, so if you stay at home a lot/have a full time WFH gig it might not be for you. If you have a sense of humour and an interest in the world around you, we’ll probably get along nicely.
