Home Description
Description of the home
We are biased but we love the house. It's cosy and it's in a great location - has the number 1 tram at one end of the street and the Merri Creek at the other, with excellent access to the creek's walking and biking tracks and CERES Joe's Market Garden is right around the corner.
The house itself is a lovely weather-board Californian bungalow with natives in the front yard and a big old lemon tree. It has a recently renovated bathroom with an extra toilet and laundry out the back. The kitchen is a little dated but has an electric oven, gas stove and dish washer. The lounge has both a split system aircon and gas heating. We're trying to fill it with plants and keep those plants alive.
The backyard is paved, with a small veranda and garden beds that we are working to fill with natives, succulents and even a few veggies.
The room itself is medium sized (3.6x3.6m) with built-in shelves, a hanging rack and set of drawers (see the fourth photo (photo 4/9)). The rest of the furniture pictured will not be staying in the room. It has a south-facing window and a split system aircon. New insulation is going to be installed in the ceiling.
We split utility bills between the three of us (internet, gas, electricity and water). Rent is paid monthly at $823.19 and the bond will be one month's rent. The room will be available on the 10th of February. Rent is due monthly on the 10th.
